Day 2: Tallinn
Morning Program: City Tour through Tallinn
After breakfast, a city tour through Tallinn begins, taking you through the best-preserved old town in the Baltic region. First, the route follows the medieval city wall to the upper part of the city. Afterwards, a walking tour is on the program, during which the Cathedral Church and the magnificent Alexander Nevsky Cathedral are visited.
Visit to the Market Square and the Historical Sights
Via the Long or Short Toompea Hill, the tour continues to the market square in the lower part of the city. There, views open onto the guild houses, the famous House of the Blackheads, and the oldest pharmacy in the Baltic region on Town Hall Square. Upon request, an exclusive interior visit of the Gothic Town Hall is also possible.

Afternoon Program: Recreational Areas and Historical Ruins
After the break, the tour continues through Tallinn's green recreational areas. The Katharinenthal park from the 18th century, the Song Festival Grounds, the forest cemetery, and the sailing center invite you to enjoy relaxed moments. Another highlight is a visit to the mighty ruin of the church of the former Bridgettine Monastery from the 15th century in Pirita, which offers insight into history.
Day 3: Lahemaa National Park
Morning: Discovery of Lahemaa National Park
The day begins with an exploration of Lahemaa National Park, an impressive forest and lake landscape full of hidden treasures. Highlights include the historic Palmse manor house, once a Cistercian foundation, as well as the picturesque Ilumäe Chapel and other elegant manor estates. In addition, fishing villages invite you to experience the local culture.
Midday: Culinary break in the fishing village of Altja
In the fishing village of Altja, a hearty, rustic lunch awaits, authentically reflecting the regional cuisine.
Afternoon: Hike through moor and marsh areas
In the afternoon, a hike along fortified wooden walkways through the fascinating moor and marsh areas of the national park is on the program. This tour offers unique nature experiences and enables close contact with the region's diverse flora and fauna.
Day 4: Tallinn - Narva - Tartu
Morning
After breakfast, the journey begins with departure from the Estonian capital. The route leads about 180 kilometers east to the border town of Narva, which lies on the river of the same name. Here, two powerful fortresses that protect the riverbank are impressive: the Russian fortress Ivangorod and the Estonian Hermann Castle, both of which majestically shape the cityscape.
Afternoon
The drive continues in a southerly direction, past the shore of Lake Peipus. Through the varied moraine landscape of Jõgevamaa, the route leads on to Tartu – a city with a rich history as a former Hanseatic city and today a vibrant intellectual center of Estonia.
Day 5: Tartu and the South
Morning Exploration of Tartu
A tour through Tartu reveals the historic Domberg with its impressive cathedral ruins, the magnificent town hall, as well as St. John’s Church, which delights visitors with unique terracotta figures from the 14th century. Another highlight is the old university from 1632, famous for its important library.
Afternoon in the Picturesque Landscape of Estonia
Estonia’s diverse natural landscape is discovered in the afternoon: the gentle hills of Otepää invite admiration, while around 130 lakes and villages shape the region. Particularly worth seeing is the castle in Sangaste, which was built in the elegant English Tudor style and brings history to life.
Evening with Estonian Folklore and a Special Experience
To end the day, a dinner with traditional Estonian folklore awaits. For adventure seekers, there is the opportunity to visit an authentic smoke sauna and gain a very special insight into the local culture.
Day 6: Island of Ösel/Saaremaa
Morning departure and drive to the Baltic Sea coast
After breakfast, the stage from Tartu, the traditional university town, begins with a scenic drive of around 220 kilometers across Estonia to the Baltic Sea coast and the island of Ösel/Saaremaa.
Stopover in Viljandi
A worthwhile stop in the garden city of Viljandi awaits with a visit to the ruins of the former Order Castle.
Exploring Pärnu
In the spa town of Pärnu, a walk through the lively city center to the fine sandy Baltic Sea beach invites you to linger.
Continue to Virtsu and ferry crossing
The tour continues to Virtsu, the starting point for the ferry crossing to the idyllic island of Ösel/Saaremaa, which delights visitors with its unique nature and history.
Day 7: Island tour - Tallinn

The day starts with a tour across the island of Ösel, which delights visitors with its unique landscape. Expansive heathlands interspersed with juniper bushes, thatched houses, historic stone walls, and traditional post mills shape the scenery. Numerous highlights await discovery: beautiful country towns, old churches, impressive fortresses, and mysterious stone graves. Especially worth seeing are the mystical Kaali Lake and the group of windmills in Angla.
Afternoon: Exploration of Kuressaare/Arensburg
At the heart of the island is a visit to the venerable Bishop's Castle in Kuressaare, which offers deep insight into the region's history. The picturesque old town with its town hall, lively market, and historic architecture invites you to linger and admire.
Evening: Return to Tallinn and joint farewell dinner
In the late afternoon, the return journey to Tallinn takes place (approx. 160 km). The day concludes with dinner at a restaurant in the old town.
