It was a genuinely successful journey, and all the participants were impressed and delighted by the organisation, the hotel and, of course, Krakow.
The hotel was highly recommendable, and the staff were very friendly and understanding.
The visit to the Auschwitz and Birkenau Memorial made a lasting impression on the group. The workshop was valuable and was repeatedly referred to by the travellers, although after the first highly informative and intensive tour of the memorial it was quite demanding for some students.
The city tour was also highly informative and interesting. Next time, it would probably be sensible to book two city guides for a group of 32 people. In the synagogue and cemetery, it was somewhat difficult to hear everything clearly. Headsets might be an alternative.
The interval between the city tour and the meeting with the contemporary witness was rather short. Perhaps a longer break could be planned.
Overall, it was genuinely excellent. As you can see from my comments, we are trying to return to Krakow next year with another group of students.
We hope to receive another equally interesting and perfectly planned offer from you.

the journey was wonderful and all the participants enjoyed it greatly. The audio-guided tour of the castle was not a problem. In fact, many people appreciated being able to set their own priorities and explore the castle individually or in pairs.
Marcin’s tour leadership was outstanding, and our coach driver was also very pleasant. We especially appreciated the variety of the journey: city sightseeing, museums, boat trips, castles and churches were all included. The food was consistently good as well. We gained an entirely new perspective on our neighbouring country. There were hardly any restrictions caused by the war in Ukraine, apart from the small number of tourists. That was pleasant in one respect, although it also meant that some restaurants, public toilets and similar facilities were closed.
We would genuinely be interested in a trip to Krakow and Wroclaw next year, ideally for seven rather than nine days.

I am happy to provide you with some brief feedback.
Accommodation: Spacious rooms with attractive, modernised bathrooms, and everything worked properly. We appreciated the opportunities to play volleyball and table tennis in the courtyard or sit together around the campfire.
Hotel staff: Very friendly and accommodating. They responded to our requests and were highly flexible. They even arranged an additional journey to take one student to a doctor.
Food: The food was good and plentiful—at times, there was almost too much for our group. It was genuinely delicious, and it was clear that everything was homemade. The only minor drawback was that on one evening there was no hot vegetarian option. Vegetarian students could choose other dishes such as salad and bread, and none of them complained. The packed lunches were also very helpful.
Travel organisation: From the very beginning, you advised and supported us exceptionally well. You were always flexible and responded precisely to our requests. Excellent.
Tour leader Maciej: He was an enormous help and source of support on site. He speaks German very well, was always helpful and friendly, and organised the days perfectly to suit our group. He also had a calm and positive manner and succeeded in introducing the students to the subject of the forest. Also excellent.
Coach: The driver was very friendly. Although he did not speak German, he made up for it with an especially warm smile. He was always reliable and drove the group safely.
Programme: The forest walk was beautiful and provided many valuable insights. The kayaking trip was exactly the right level of difficulty. Every student was appropriately challenged, everyone enjoyed it, and it became the highlight of the trip. The day at the Baltic Sea was somewhat affected by rain, but we still saw the genuinely beautiful beach.
We also gained cultural insights into the history of the surrounding villages, which was another valuable part of the programme.
We will definitely recommend the offer.

we arrived safely back in Munich. Here is the feedback on our trip that I promised.

Despite the very serious subject matter, the journey was a wonderful experience filled with impressions that are difficult to describe individually. We learned a great deal about the history of Jewish people in Poland. Although we had prepared thoroughly, our two outstanding guides in Warsaw and Krakow told and showed us many things that simply cannot be found in books.
A truly unique experience for me was the visit to the Janusz Korczak House. We had a two-hour conversation there with Marta, who told us a great deal about Korczak’s life, his work and his time in the Warsaw Ghetto. The visit to the Jewish Cultural Centre was also moving. We would have needed much more time to explore the museums in greater depth. A particular highlight was the POLIN Museum, which presents the centuries-old history of Jewish people in Poland in a vivid, colourful and extraordinarily impressive way.

It was also especially interesting to learn, through numerous conversations with both guides, about Polish perspectives on current affairs and politics in Europe. The personal discussions were particularly enriching and often gave us much to think about.

The accommodation in both hotels was excellent. Everything worked wonderfully, and the transfers were organised perfectly.

In conclusion, it was a wonderful and highly rewarding journey that we would strongly recommend to anyone interested in history.

Only the traffic noise in Warsaw was a little too much for some of us.

our study trip to Gdansk from 12 to 16 March 2012 has now ended, and on behalf of everyone involved—class teachers and students alike—I can only say: thank you very much. The trip was exceptionally well organised by you.
The hotel was very comfortable, and everyone greatly appreciated the extensive breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed the dinner at the traditional restaurant and gained an excellent impression of the diversity of Polish cuisine.
The guided visits—“An Introduction to the Thousand-Year History of Gdansk”, “Gdansk as the Birthplace of Solidarity”, “Gdansk during the Second World War”, Stutthof concentration camp and Malbork Castle—were highly informative. The guides’ German was easy for everyone to understand. They answered the students’ questions thoroughly and coordinated necessary breaks sensibly with the groups.
Alongside Malbork, Europe’s largest Gothic brick castle, the visit to Stutthof concentration camp and the meeting with a contemporary witness that you arranged there were particularly moving and will remain especially memorable for all of us.
I am firmly convinced that many of us will return to Poland and will involve Marco der Pole in planning future trips. Your travel company deserves the highest recommendation: simply excellent, always friendly and, above all, straightforward and flexible.
