Itinerary

Day 1: Gdansk

Morning: Upon arrival in Gdańsk, guests will be welcomed by a tour guide representing Cracovia Reisen. Transfer to the hotel and check-in.
Afternoon: A guided tour through the heart of Gdańsk’s thousand-year-old heritage reveals the city’s Hanseatic past and its historic role as a "Free City" after 1920. The tour follows the Royal Route, featuring landmarks such as the Town Hall, St. Mary’s Church, Neptune’s Fountain, Artus Court, and the charming Mariacka Street, renowned for its amber boutiques.
Evening: Dinner.

Day 2: Gdansk

Morning: A boat excursion through the Gdańsk Shipyard to Westerplatte offers insights into the historic site where the Second World War began on September 1, 1939. A visit to the "Guardhouse" memorial provides further perspectives on the events surrounding the attack. Lunch at a restaurant in the Old Town.
Afternoon: The history of the Solidarity movement (Solidarność) comes to life through a visit to the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers of 1970 and the exhibition at the European Solidarity Centre, located on the grounds of the historic Lenin Shipyard. Founded in Gdańsk in 1980 as the first independent trade union in the communist Eastern Bloc, the Solidarity movement (Solidarność) became a powerful social movement advocating for workers’ rights, freedom, and democratic change, playing a pivotal role in the transformation of Poland and Europe.
Evening: Dinner at the hotel, followed by a meeting with a journalist and political scientist, offering valuable insights into Poland’s contemporary political landscape.

Day 3: Gdansk – Malbork – Gdansk

Morning: A visit to Malbork Castle introduces one of Europe’s most remarkable medieval fortresses. Built in the 14th century, this impressive brick stronghold served as the headquarters of the Teutonic Order and is today recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afternoon: Return to Gdańsk followed by time at leisure for individual exploration. A visit to the Museum of the Second World War is highly recommended, offering a profound perspective on one of the most significant events of the 20th century.
Evening: The day concludes with dinner at a renowned fish restaurant, featuring local culinary specialities.

Day 4: Gdansk – Oliwa – Sopot – Return flight

Morning: A visit to Oliwa including the magnificent cathedral, renowned for its impressive architecture and serene atmosphere.
Afternoon: Next on the itinerary is a boat cruise from Gdańsk to the elegant seaside resort of Sopot. The highlight of the resort is its famous pier, extending more than 500 metres into the Baltic Sea, offering a memorable coastal experience. Afterwards, a direct transfer to the airport concludes the journey.
