Itinerary: Warsaw – Żelazowa Wola – Brochów – Nieborów
Morning: Arrival in Warsaw and transfer to the hotel.
Afternoon: The afternoon begins with a walk through the historic centre of the Polish capital. Warsaw’s Old Town stands as a remarkable example of post-war reconstruction, faithfully restored after its destruction during the Second World War. Highlights include the Market Square, St. John’s Cathedral, Castle Square, and the lively Nowy Świat Street. The tour concludes with a visit to the viewing platform on the 30th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science, offering spectacular panoramic views over the city.
Evening: Dinner.
Morning: The day begins with a visit to the Chopin Museum in Ostrogski Palace, home to the world’s largest collection of over 7,500 items related to the composer’s life and work. The modern multimedia exhibition, including UNESCO-listed treasures, brings Chopin’s music and story to life. The tour continues to Holy Cross Church, where Chopin’s heart is preserved, followed by a stroll through Łazienki Royal Park with its elegant palace, historic gardens, and famous Chopin Monument where open-air piano concerts are held during summer.
Afternoon: Optional: visit to Powązki Cemetery, where Chopin’s parents are buried, offering a personal glimpse into the composer’s family history.
Evening: The day concludes with a Chopin piano concert in a historic hall in Warsaw’s Old Town. Followed by dinner.
Morning: After breakfast, the tour heads to Żelazowa Wola, the birthplace of Frédéric Chopin. The museum and surrounding park offer a glimpse into the composer’s early life. The journey continues to Brochów, where Chopin was baptised in the Church of St. Roch and St. John the Baptist. The scenic views of the Masovian landscape have long inspired his music.
Afternoon: The excursion continues to the elegant palace in Nieborów and the nearby English-style landscape park of Arkadia, both dating from Chopin’s era. Their harmonious blend of art, architecture, and nature provides a memorable experience before returning to Warsaw.
Evening: The day concludes with a concert at the Warsaw Philharmonic or another cultural event depending on the current cultural programme in Warsaw, followed by a farewell dinner at a selected city restaurant.
Morning: Time at leisure for individual exploration of the city before the return journey.
Afternoon: Transfer from the city centre to the airport. Return journey.
