Our journey continues to the important pilgrimage site of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. The basilica and the surrounding 42 chapels and churches are among Poland’s most important spiritual sites. Karol Wojtyła made pilgrimages here many times, as a young man, priest, bishop and later Pope. Owing to its unique historical significance, Kalwaria has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Another highlight awaits at the Wieliczka Salt Mine, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a fascinating underground tour through kilometres of passages and mysterious salt chambers. Admire chapels and figures of saints carved in salt, reflecting the miners’ profound faith. A particular treasure is the underground cathedral, St Kinga’s Chapel, which never fails to astonish visitors. In the evening, we return to Krakow with many new impressions and inspiring experiences.
