The itinerary uniquely combines culture, nature and art. It begins with the striking modern architecture and maritime heritage of Szczecin before moving on to the dramatic cliffs and Viking history of Wolin Island and Międzyzdroje. Travellers then traverse the picturesque Baltic coast to experience the historic charm of Kołobrzeg and the shifting desert-like landscapes of the Slovincian National Park near Łeba. The adventure concludes in the magnificent historic city of Gdańsk, exploring centuries of rich culture and pivotal European history. With its wide sandy beaches, shifting dunes, rivers and coastal lakes, it is one of Poland’s most charming landscapes.
Itinerary: Szczecin – Wolin Island - Międzyzdroje - Kołobrzeg - Łeba & Slovincian National Park - Gdańsk
Duration: 7 days
Morning: Arrival in Szczecin. The tour starts with a walk along the Chrobry Embankment which offers panoramic views of the Oder River. Visit to the National Museum in Szczecin focusing on maritime exhibitions.
Afternoon: Guided walking tour of Szczecin Old Town, including a visit to the impressive cathedral, the Royal Gate, the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle and the Szczecin Philharmonic, an exceptional example of modern architecture.
Evening: Stroll along the modern Łasztownia waterfront. Dinner.
Morning: Transfer to Wolin Island, where the Wolin National Park is located. Hike up to the Gosań viewpoint, the highest cliff on the Polish coast which rises to 95 metres above sea level.
Afternoon: Visit to the Slavic and Viking Centre, an open-air museum in Wolin, which features reconstructed medieval huts, artisan workshops, and authentic maritime vessels. After the visit, transfer to Międzyzdroje.
Evening: Arrival in Międzyzdroje. Wal down the Międzyzdroje pier, famous for the Polish Walk of Fame. Check-in at the accommodation. Dinner.
Morning: Transfer to Kołobrzeg. A visit to the Kołobrzeg Lighthouse and a walk along the pier.
Afternoon: A visit to the Museum of Polish Arms where historic tanks, artillery, and military equipment are presented. A walk through the historic centre, including the impressive Kołobrzeg Cathedral.
Evening: Check-in at the accommodation. Dinner.
Morning: Drive along the coast to Łeba. Visit to the Slovincian National Park to see the famous Łącka Dune, massive, shifting dunes that resemble a desert landscape meeting the sea.
Afternoon: Quick transfer to Lake Sarbsko, followed by a walk through the dune landscape to the Stilo Lighthouse. Climb to the observation deck.
Afternoon: Time at leisure in Łeba. Dinner.
Morning: Transfer to Gdańsk.
Afternoon: Guided tour of the Old Town, featuring its main streets: Długa Street, Mariacka Street and Long Market Square. Highlights include: the Neptune Foutain, Artus Court, St. Mary's Church as well as the historic Crane Gate.
Evening: Check-in at the accommodation. Dinner.
Morning: The journey through time into the 20th century with a boat trip through the Gdańsk Shipyard to Westerplatte – the symbolic site where the Second World War began. A visit to the "Guardhouse" memorial site, followed by a walk to the monument "Monument to the Defenders of the Coast".
Afternoon: A visit to the most modern museum in Gdańsk, the Museum of the Second World War, opens the day and offers impressive insights into history.
Evening: Dinner.
