Warsaw’s most magnificent park was created through the visionary initiative of Poland’s last king, Stanisław August Poniatowski, in the second half of the eighteenth century. This exceptional palace and garden complex covers 76 hectares and contains more than 40 buildings of major architectural and cultural importance.
The park is one of Warsaw residents’ favourite places for relaxation and includes a variety of open-air stages. Particularly impressive are the original amphitheatre inspired by ancient ruins and the elegant terrace of the royal residence, the Palace on the Isle.
