A visit to Gdańsk offers fascinating insights into the history of this Hanseatic city, shaped by a diversity of peoples and cultures. The itinerary explores the sights of Gdańsk’s Main Town, including Artus Court—the historic centre of merchants—and St. Mary's Church, the largest Gothic brick church in the world. The next stop is in Frombork, the place where Nicolaus Copernicus spent the last years of his life and where his grave is located. You will have the opportunity to go kayaking on the Krutynia River, take bike tours, and enjoy the clear waters of Lampackie Lake, on whose shore our youth centre is located. A visit of the largest castle of the Teutonic Order in Poland, Malbork Castle, rounds off this unforgettable trip.

Morning: The day begins with a guided tour of the historic Old Town of Gdańsk. The thousand-year-old city reveals its rich history as a Hanseatic city, highlighting the influences of German, Polish and other nationalities in the development of the city. Highlights include the magnificent Town Hall, the lively Fish Market, the old harbour, the Long Market, as well as the imposing St. Mary’s Church and the famous Neptune Fountain.
Afternoon: In the afternoon, the focus is on Gdańsk as the cradle of the Solidarność movement. A visit to St. Bridget’s Church and the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers of 1970 in front of the Gdańsk Shipyard offers in-depth insights into this significant movement. The permanent exhibition at the European Solidarity Centre vividly conveys the history and spirit of the Solidarność movement.
Evening: Dinner.
Morning: The journey begins with a trip to Elbląg, where a guided city walk brings the city’s rich history and atmosphere to life. Afterwards, the journey continues to Frombork, located on the Vistula Lagoon, the place where Nicolaus Copernicus lived and worked. A visit to the Cathedral Hill with the Radziejowski Tower, from where the view of the Vistula Lagoon stretches out.
Afternoon: The journey to Rodowo near Sorkwity via Olsztyn.
Evening: Arrival at the accommodation in Rodowo, check-in. Dinner.
Full-day: The surroundings of Lampackie Lake invite you to enjoy invigorating bike rides, exciting hikes while taking in nature or other sporting activities. Dinner in the evening.
Morning & Afternoon: A kayaking tour on the picturesque Krutynia River, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
Transfer by bus to the accommodation.
Evening: Dinner.
Morning: A drive from Rodowo to Święta Lipka, where the magnificent Baroque sanctuary, known in English as the Holy Linden, will be visited. Afterwards, the tour continues to the Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s former headquarters, which is historically significant due to the assassination attempt against Hitler by Claus von Stauffenberg.
Afternoon: Transfer to Mikołajki, a picturesque lakeside town, famous for its rich maritime history, vibrant promenade, and stunning views of the surrounding lakes. Time at leisure.
Return to the accommodation in Rodowo.
Evening: Barbecue party.
Morning: Bus transfer from Rodowo to Gdańsk with a stop in Malbork, where the imposing brick castle – the largest in Europe and the former headquarters of the Teutonic Order – will be explored. This impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site invites you to take a journey back in time through history.
Afternoon: Departure.
