Discover fascinating Sobieszewo Island

Until 1945, Sobieszewo Island was known in German as Bohnsacker Insel and formed part of the coastal landscape of the Bay of Gdansk. Today it bears its Polish name. This idyllic island lies around 15 kilometres east of central Gdansk and attracts visitors with its distinctive natural environment and history. It takes its name from Sobieszewo, a former fishing village in the western part of the island.
The island is a paradise for nature lovers. Numerous bird species live here, and several protected bird reserves have been established. Sobieszewo is also known for its extensive sandy beaches, where pieces of amber can sometimes be found.
Our programme includes a varied walk, time on the beach and birdwatching, providing an opportunity to experience the diversity and beauty of this exceptional island.
